Hands On Training Course 2007

Purpose
Provide 16 hours of continuing education credits and provide hands on practical home inspection knowledge. It is designed for those seeking their home inspector license as well as those wishing to become more knowledgeable in the home inspection field.

Includes
2 day seminar that offers hands on inspection of at least two houses and a four-hour section covering the mandatory continuing education elements outlined annually by the North Carolina Inspector Licensing Board.

An additional 12 hours of practical instruction to meet the yearly CEU requirement.

Instruction is conducted in four-hour segments as required by the NCHILB.

All home inspections will be conducted under the supervision of an experienced, certified home inspector.

A group discussion will follow each inspection and participants will be offered guidance on report writing and presentation.

-In addition to the topics listed above, an analysis of the home inspection procedure, carbon monoxide monitoring, and a slide presentation of actual house defects with an open discussion will be covered.

License Requirements:
-All home inspectors are mandated to acquire 12 hours of continuing education credits prior to the annual September 30 license expiration date.

-This course is approved annually by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensing Board.

-Your hours of attendance for this approved CEU class will be submitted automatically to the Licensing Board, along with the $56 filing fee for licensing. This Hands-On seminar awards 16 CEU units. Note this fee only covers the filing fee for credits only. Additional fees required by the state to maintain active licensure are the responsibility of the applicant.
